Kefir is a fermented milk product, somewhat similar to yogurt, but thinner (drinkable) and with many more probiotics and other healthy bacteria that can improve health and digestion.
Water Kefir is not as well known as milk kefir. But it is the same concept: symbiotic grains of bacteria and yeast that ferment a specific liquid, in this case, a sugar-water liquid.
Kombucha has been consumed for thousands of years and is a fermented probiotic drink that originated from China but oftentimes is credited to be originated from Russia.
It is made from tea, sugar, a scoby and a starter from a previous batch.
